Stacking the Shelves [9]

Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews where book lovers share what books they got throughout the week!

Note: These are the books I have acquired over the last two weeks which is why there is going to be A LOT of books. 22 books to be exact. I know, I have a problem lol.

E-ARC’s

E-Books

**Spite Club is currently FREE on Amazon at the time of this posting.

**Entice is currently FREE on Amazon at the time of this posting.

**Not the One is currently FREE on Amazon at the time of this posting.

**Bend is currently FREE on Amazon at the time of this posting. Penelope Douglas gave this book 5 stars on Goodreads so I knew I had to pick it up if she loved it so much.

**Bound to Me is currently FREE on Amazon at the time of this posting.

**Serenade is currently FREE on Amazon at the time of this posting. I mixed things up a bit and got a few YA books like this one and the Prince in Disguise.

**A Love Thing is currently FREE on Amazon at the time of this posting. This is the BIGGEST steal available right now because it is a bind up of 10 full-length novels by 10 different romance authors. I highly recommend that you guys check this out.

**Desire is currently on sale for $0.99. This older man/younger woman romance is right up my alley. Plus, that cover is gorgeous!!

**Dr. OB is currently FREE on Amazon at the time of this posting.

Umm, so those are the books I got over the past two weeks. I really hope I am not the only one who gets this many books in a span of two weeks because I am pretty sure I have a book buying/book hoarding problem lol.

What books did you guys get this week?
Have you read any of the books I got?

Stacking the Shelves [8]

Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews where book lovers share what books they got throughout the week!

So… I didn’t stick to my goal of under 10 like last week but, in my defense, there were a LOT of good sales this week and some are still on.

**Dear Mr. Black and its sequel, Forever, Mr. Black, are both on sale for $2.51 each at the time of this posting if anyone is interested. It is an older man/younger woman romance where the girl is attracted to her best friend’s widowed father.

**The Clover Chapel is currently FREE at the time of this posting. I have heard nothing but amazing things about this series and now I have the first two books.

**Prisoner is currently FREE at the time of this posting. I’ve been in the mood for a dark romance recently so I am glad I have this.

**Take Me Back is currently on sale for $.99 at the time of this posting. That cover alone made me want to get this book. That, and I am collecting Meghan March’s books.

**Stinger is currently on sale for $.99 at the time of this posting. Another Mia Sheridan book for my collection. (still need to read one though lol)

**The Hot Shot is currently on sale for $.99 at the time of this posting. The Game On series is a fantastic new adult sports romance series and I am SO happy that I now have the 4th book.

**Darker Water is currently on sale for $.99 at the time of this posting. A friends-with benefits story inspired by The Frog Prince which sounded so interesting I had to get it.

**Blush Pink Rose is currently FREE at the time of this posting. It is the prequel to a new dark romance series written by Willow Winters under her new pen name, Fawn Bailey.

**Royal Player is currently FREE at the time of this posting. Umm… the British bad boy of tennis… yes, please!

**Love in Lingerie is currently on sale for $.99 until TOMORROW (2/12). I have wanted this book since it came because that cover is GORGEOUS and it is Alessandra Torre.

**All sales listed were found on Amazon**

With that being said, I highly recommend you take advantage of some of these sales if you can because they are pretty freaking great.

Stacking the Shelves [7]

Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews where book lovers share what books they got throughout the week!

I did very well this week, and by that I mean I got less than 10 books lol.

E-Books

I pre-ordered The Upside of Being Single and The Beau & The Belle because both sound amazing and have beautiful covers. A majority of the others were either free through author’s newsletters or on sale.

**Wicked Favor by Sawyer Bennett is currently FREE at the time of this posting. This is a spin-off series of The Wicked Horse series that takes place in Vegas.

**Something in the Way by Jessica Hawkins is currently FREE at the time of this posting. The first book in what I have heard to be a very emotional series.

**Ruckus by LJ Shen is currently on sale for 99 cents at the time of this posting. After reading Midnight Blue and loving it, I jumped at the chance to own another book by this author.

**It Ain’t Me, Babe by Tillie Cole is currently on sale for 99 cents at the time of this posting. The other books in Hades Hangmen series are also on sale, each book is $1.99.

Stacking the Shelves [6]

Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews where book lovers share what books they got throughout the week!

Ok, so this might be cheating but since I didn’t get a chance to do a Stacking the Shelves last week, I will be showing you the books I got over the past two weeks instead of just this week. Oh, and as you can see, I broke my book buying ban and bought some books at  one of my favorite thrift stores near my apartment.

E-ARC’s

I received Driving Whiskey Wild  and Hold on Tight for review and was approved for Ace of Spades on Netgalley, which is the third book in the Aces & Eights series.

E-Books

**All of these books were either free or only 99 cents at the time I got them. **

  • Worth the Risk is still currently FREE at the time of this posting if anyone is interested. The heroine is a scientist which you do not see that often in romance and one of the reasons I picked this up.
  • Unloved is still 99 cents at the time of this posting if anyone is interested. This looks like a super emotional romance and I can’t wait to get to it.
  • The Dark Light of Day is currently FREE at the time of this posting! This is a prequel to the King series which I have heard AMAZING things about so I snatched this one up. If you like dark romances, check this out as well as T.M. Frazier’s other books.

Physical Books

The plan was to just get ONE book but I failed miserably because I found all of these books and I couldn’t pass up the chance to get them. Not to pick favorites, but A Hopeless Romantic and Attachments are probably the ones I am most excited about.

Those are ALL of the books I got over the last two weeks AKA a super crazy amount of books. But, of course, I don’t mind because at the end of the day getting more books is one of my favorite things. #lifeasabookworm

Stacking the Shelves [5]

Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews where book lovers share what books they got throughout the week!

Ok, so if you saw last week’s Stacking the Shelves you would remember that I am trying to not get too many books this year because I went a little overboard last year. Well… I acquired more books than I thought I did this week. Good news is that most were either free or only 99 cents which fits with the rule I set for myself this year.

Here are the books I got this week…

E-Books

There was sale on the Checkmate Series by Kennedy Fox earlier this week where Travis and Viola’s duet was free and then Drew and Courtney’s duet was only 99 cents. I actually own the first books in both of these duets but I couldn’t pass this chance to get the second books even if I already owned the first ones.

**Drew and Courtney’s duet is still only 99 cents at the time of posting. While Travis and Viola’s duet is not on sale anymore the first book in that duet, Checkmate: This is War, is currently FREE at the time of this posting so if you are interested you could at least get started with that duet.**

Shameless by Lex Martin, which I have heard amazing things about, and Dirty Deeds by Stella Rhys, which looks like a really good enemies to lovers romance, were both only 99 cents so I snatched those up.
**Both books are still 99 cents at the time of posting if anyone is interested.**

Then, I discovered Whiskey Prince by Toni Aleo was FREE through my daily Bookbub deals email and I got it purely because it takes place in Ireland and I have a bit of an obsession with Ireland at the moment since my little sister just left for Dublin for a semester abroad. I also discovered in that same email that These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner was 99 cents and I have heard wonderful things about this YA fantasy series so I picked that up too.
**Both books are still on sale at time of posting if anyone is interested**

Lastly, I got Come Home Again by Nana Malone and Stoned by Mandi Beck for free through author newsletters. I am excited to have a book by Nana Malone since she is a romance author who is a woman of color which is so wonderful since we need to have more of them in the romance world. And Stoned by Mandi Beck looks like a really good rockstar romance, a genre I am really liking right now.
**Come Home Again is currently FREE at the time of posting if anyone is interested**

E-ARC’s

I was lucky enough to get an E-ARC copy of The First Kiss of Spring and The Favorite Sister through Netgalley. I still can’t believe I was approved for The Favorite Sister but I can’t wait to read it since I enjoyed Luckiest Girl Alive a few years ago. I also got E-ARC of Play for Keeps through the publisher. It looks like a great sports romance between a basketball coach and a PR guru.

So, those are all the books I got this week.

Stacking the Shelves [4]

Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews where book lovers share what books they got throughout the week!

I am really trying to not buy that many books this year because of how many I got last year (100+). While I don’t have a book buying ban in place, I am only allowing myself to buy e-books that are either free or 99cents mainly because I have no more room for physical books in my apartment. Seriously, I have like 10 stacks beneath my bookshelf right now lol.

Here are the e-books I picked up this week.

E-Books

Dear Life was on sale for 99 cents and after reading the amazing reviews for I knew I couldn’t pass up the chance to get it. Meghan Quinn is a new author to me but I am excited to hopefully get to this in 2018.
**Still on sale at time of posting if anyone is interested**

Calendar Girl: Vol. 1 is part of the Calendar Girl series that came out a few years ago. I have always been curious about it so when the first volume was free I decided to get it. **It is still free if anyone is interested**

Play was free for a limited time this week. It is a gamer romance and since I have a soft spot for nerdy heroes, I picked it up. Also, can we just appreciate that cover for a second. 😍

So, there are all the books I got this week.

E-Books
25681827

Believe it or not, I only paid for two of the e-books above. I pre-ordered The Fortunate Ones and My Week with the Bad Boy both for .99 cents. I received an E-ARC of Rock Solid for review which was AMAZING and my review will be coming. The other seven were completely FREE, thanks to BookBub, author’s newsletter, and Facebook groups.

Page Habit Box

20171102_122019

I also received my first PageHabit box this week which I was super excited about. This is my first book subscription box and I chose this one because I really liked that the author leaves annotations in the book of theirs you receive, that you can choose a specific genre box (I got the romance one), AND that the money for your box is given as a donation to support children’s literacy.

Bookish First
Unknown-1

I received the ARC of The Wedding Date that I won through BookishFirst, which is a website where every Monday they offer new books that you can enter to win a copy of. All you have to do is give your first impressions of the book and you are entered to win it. They also provide you with a first look at the first few chapters to read so you can get a sense of what the book is going to be like. I love this website and have already won two books (Roomies by Christina Lauren is on its way). Check out BookishFirst if you are interested!

More Than Words

And then… I went to brunch with two of my grad school friends yesterday and after we went to a bookstore. So surprising, right? These are the books I picked up at the More Than Words bookstore, which is a great non-profit that employs youth who are either in foster care, court-involved, homeless, or out of school so they can take charge of their lives by taking charge of a business. It is an amazing cause so I had no problem spending my money on these wonderful books.

So, there are all the books I got this week.

Stacking the Shelves [2]

Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews where book lovers share what books they got throughout the week!

E-Books

I was able to grab quite a few e-books this week. I actually pre-ordered Breaking Grace and forgot about it until it showed up on my Kindle lol. The Dark Ones was free on Amazon (it still is as of today). Thanks to Lauren Blakely’s newsletter, I found out that Well Hung was only .99 cents! I also got Man Candy for free because Lauren Blakely included it as a freebie in her newsletter. I got King the same way from another author’s newsletter.

Physical Books

I was able to pick up these three books that were going to be added to the book sale at my job for free. I absolutely LOVE The Lizzie Bennet Diaries on YouTube so to have the book just adds to my love for it. Also, I have read the first book in J.R. Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood series so I was happy to add two more books to my collection.

Those are the books I added to my shelves this week.

What books did you guys add??

Stacking the Shelves [1]

Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews where book lovers share what books they got throughout the week!

I am so excited to do my first ever Stacking the Shelves so let’s get started because I got a lot of books this week!

E-ARC’s

I still can’t believe that I got approved for both of these books on Netgalley. I have already started Roomies and I am loving it so far and can’t wait to get to The Wedding Date.

E-Books

I couldn’t pass up some of these e-books up this week. They were either 99 cents or completely free! I can’t wait to read Maverick but I’m glad to add each of these to my collection.

Physical Books

These are the books that I got when I went to a book swap with my friends at Trident Booksellers & Cafe, which is one of my favorite independent bookstores in Boston. My most exciting find from the swap is an ARC of Krysten Ritter’s new book.

This is what happens when I spend my Saturday night in the used book section of another one of my favorite independent bookstores in Boston, Brookline Booksmith, with a good friend. I still CANNOT BELIEVE that I found Dating You/Hating You and all the other books I bought.

Those are all the books I got this week. Probably the last big haul of the year but don’t quote me on that lol.

What books did you guys get this week?
